About the Warframe Status Chance Calculator
Understanding status chance in Warframe can be complex, especially with the changes introduced in Update 27.2 and subsequent patches. This tool is designed to provide Tenno with the most accurate, up-to-date calculations for their weapon builds.
Unlike the in-game arsenal which often simplifies numbers, our calculator breaks down the math behind Multishot and Status Chance per Projectile. This allows you to see exactly how effective your weapon will be at applying status effects like Slash, Heat, or Viral.
How to Use This Tool
- Base Status Chance: Enter the percentage found on your unmodded weapon card.
- Base Multishot: Enter 1 for most weapons. For shotguns like the Hek or Tigris, enter the native pellet count.
- Mods: Add up the percentages from your equipped mods. For example, if you have two 60/60 elemental mods, enter 120 in the Status Chance Bonus field.
- Results: The tool instantly calculates your "Real" status chance per bullet, and more importantly, your Average Procs per Second, which is the true metric of a status weapon's efficiency.
Why "Average Procs per Shot" Matters
The "Status Chance" you see in-game is often the probability of getting at least one status effect. However, with high multishot, you can apply multiple status effects in a single trigger pull. This calculator shows you the expected average, which is crucial for stacking status effects like Heat or Toxin.
Pro Tips for Status Builds
- Viral + Heat: This is a meta combination. Viral amplifies damage to health, while Heat strips armor and deals damage over time. Aim for high status chance to stack these quickly.
- Shotguns: Since Update 27.2, status on shotguns is calculated per pellet. Reaching 100% status is no longer a "magical breakpoint" but simply guarantees one proc per pellet.
- Fire Rate vs. Damage: For status application (like stripping armor with Corrosive), a high fire-rate weapon with lower status chance can often outperform a slow weapon with high status chance. Use the "Procs per Second" metric to compare.
