Mastering the Economy of TCG Card Shop Simulator

Running a successful store in TCG Card Shop Simulator requires more than just stocking shelves. To scale your business and unlock expensive licenses, you must optimize your profit margins without alienating your customer base.

The Art of the Markup

Every product has a fluctuating Market Value. The price you set on the shelf dictates how customers interact with your store.

  • Safe Zone (+0% to +10%): Customers will almost never complain. Products fly off the shelves quickly, generating steady, reliable cash flow.
  • Moderate Zone (+10% to +20%): You will see occasional complaints about prices, and items will sit slightly longer. However, the increased profit per item usually makes up for the slower volume.
  • Greed Zone (+30% or more): Customers will actively refuse to buy items and leave angry reviews. Your inventory will stagnate. Only use high markups on extremely rare singles that collectors are desperate for.
Expected Value (EV) of Cracking Packs:
The EV of a pack is the average market value of all the cards inside it. Usually, the EV is slightly higher than the sealed pack's market value. However, selling 100 bulk cards for $0.10 each takes significantly more shelf space and employee time than selling one $10.00 sealed pack.

Managing Daily Expenses

Do not expand your store or hire employees too quickly. Rent and Wages are deducted daily regardless of your sales. If you have a slow day or price your items too high (causing zero sales), your expenses will eat directly into your capital, potentially causing a game-over bankruptcy. Always keep a cash buffer equal to at least 3 days of expenses.
