Luckily, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet give us more tools than ever before to dramatically boost those odds in our favor. By combining key items, in-game events, and the power of a good meal, you can turn that tiny chance into a very real possibility.

2. Calculate Your Probability: Below the main calculator, enter the number of Pokémon you plan to encounter on your hunt. The tool will immediately tell you your percentage chance of finding at least one shiny within that number of encounters.
3. Share Your Hunt: Found a great combination of bonuses? Click the "Copy Share Link" button to create a unique URL that saves your current setup, perfect for sharing with friends!

Pro Tips for a Successful Shiny Hunt

• Get the Shiny Charm, Period:** This is the golden rule of shiny hunting. Completing your Paldea Pokédex (catching all 400 Pokémon) is a big task, but the reward is the Shiny Charm. This permanent key item instantly triples your base odds and it stacks with every other bonus. It's the single best thing you can do to make all your future hunts easier.
• Master Mass Outbreaks:** Mass Outbreaks are a fantastic way to hunt. Knocking out (or catching) 60 Pokémon in an outbreak gives you a massive boost to your shiny odds for that specific Pokémon. A great strategy is to use the "Let's Go!" feature to quickly defeat 60, then save your game and start looking.
• The Picnic Reset is Your Best Friend:** This is the most popular and efficient hunting method. Once you've cleared 60+ Pokémon in an outbreak, just set up a picnic and then immediately pack it up. This forces all the Pokémon in the area to despawn and respawn with a fresh chance to be shiny. You can repeat this over and over to see hundreds of Pokémon in just a few minutes.
• Farm Those Herba Mystica:** Sparkling Power is the final piece of the puzzle, and it only comes from sandwiches made with Herba Mystica. You can earn these rare ingredients from high-level Tera Raid battles (5 and 6-star). Farming raids to stock up on Herba Mystica is essential for getting the absolute best odds possible (1 in 512!).
