How Penguin Points Work
Penguin Points are earned through the Penguin Hide and Seek activity, where players spy on disguised penguins throughout Gielinor. The base activity awards 15 points per week, but completing certain quests can increase this significantly:
• Base penguins (12): 15 points
• Hunt for Red Raktuber: +1 point (Polar Bear)
• Some Like It Cold: +3 points (Shadow Realm penguin)
• Back to the Freezer: +2 points (Agent 007 chance)
• Maximum: 21 points per week
Additionally, Agent penguins (001-006) can provide up to 20 extra points per week, and using a D&D reset token can double your weekly earnings to a maximum of 42 points.
How to Use This Calculator
Step 1: Enter Your Skill Level
Input your current skill level (1-120) for the skill you want to train. The calculator supports both normal skills and elite skills (Invention, Archaeology, Necromancy) which have different experience curves.
Step 2: Set Your Penguin Points
Enter how many penguin points you currently have. You can store up to 250 penguin points at once, so plan accordingly if you're saving up for larger lamps.
Step 3: Configure Quest Status
Check the boxes for any penguin-related quests you've completed. This affects your maximum weekly point earnings and helps with planning future weeks.
Step 4: Analyze Results
The calculator will show you all available lamp options, their costs, experience values, and efficiency ratings. Use this information to choose the most effective way to spend your points.
