About the Pacific Drive Route Planner

Survival in the Olympic Exclusion Zone requires more than just good driving—it requires careful planning. The Pacific Drive Route Planner is designed to help Remnants chart their course through the instability. Whether you are making a quick supply run to the Outer Zone or a deep expedition into the Red Zone, this tool helps you track your path, estimate resource consumption, and prepare for the anomalies ahead.

Unlike static maps, this dynamic tool allows you to build a custom itinerary based on the procedurally generated junctions you encounter. By inputting your route, you can calculate whether your station wagon has enough fuel and battery to make it to the gateway, or if you need to prioritize resource gathering along the way.

How to Use This Tool

  • Configure Your Car: Enter your current fuel tank and battery capacity. Select your engine type to adjust consumption rates.
  • Build Your Route: As you plan your trip on the garage map, add each junction to this planner. Specify the Zone (Outer, Mid, Deep) and the estimated distance/size of the map.
  • Analyze the Trip: Watch the "Trip Analysis" panel. It will update in real-time to show estimated fuel and battery usage.
  • Check Recommendations: The Loadout Advisor will suggest specific gear (like Lead-Lined Panels or Insulated Headlights) based on the zones you are visiting.
  • Save Your Run: Use the "Save Run State" button to store your current plan in your browser, so you don't lose it if you close the tab.

Tips for a Successful Run

1. Account for Anchors: Remember that activating an Anchor to open a gateway consumes significant battery. Always leave a buffer in your battery calculations.

2. Weather Matters: While this tool estimates base consumption, adverse weather like "Sludge" or "High Winds" will increase fuel usage. Always pack extra fuel cans.

3. Know Your Exits: Not every junction has a stable exit. Use this tracker to mark which junctions are "Dead Ends" or "Highways" to ensure you don't get trapped by the storm.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Is this tool connected to my game save?
No, this is a standalone client-side tool. It does not read game files. You manually input the data from your in-game map to help you plan.
How accurate are the fuel estimates?
The estimates are based on average consumption rates for "Short", "Medium", and "Long" drives. Actual consumption varies based on terrain, off-road driving, and specific car quirks. Use the estimates as a baseline, not a guarantee.
Can I use this on mobile?
Yes! The Pacific Drive Route Planner is 100% responsive and works perfectly on mobile devices and tablets, making it a great companion screen while you play on PC or PS5.
