About The DR Calculator

Damage Reduction (DR) is the most critical defensive stat in Melvor Idle. This calculator helps you determine your exact DR percentage by correctly combining all your gear and buffs. Unlike simple addition, Melvor applies certain bonuses like Prayers and Potions multiplicatively, which can be confusing to calculate manually. Our tool handles this complex math for you, providing the true final DR value. It also calculates your Effective HP (EHP), which represents the total amount of raw damage you can take before dying—the ultimate measure of your tankiness.

How to Use

1. Enter your character's Max HP.
2. Use the "Add Gear Piece" button to create a line for each item with DR.
3. Fill in the DR percentage for each gear piece.
4. Enter the DR percentage from your active Prayers and Potions in their respective fields.
5. Your final DR and Effective HP will be calculated instantly.

Pro Tip

Effective HP is often more important than your max health. A player with 1000 HP and 50% DR has an EHP of 2000, making them twice as tough as a player with 2000 HP and 0% DR. Prioritize DR to survive the toughest dungeons!
