๐Ÿ“– Complete Guide to MapleStory Cubing

What is Cubing in MapleStory?

Cubing is the process of using cubes to reroll the potential lines on your equipment. Each piece of equipment can have up to 3 potential lines that provide various stat bonuses. The goal is to get the best possible combination of stats for your character class and build.

Types of Cubes

Red Cubes

Basic cubes that can reroll potential lines and have a chance to tier up equipment. Cost-effective for early game players.

Black Cubes

Premium cubes with higher tier-up rates and better line possibilities. Essential for end-game equipment optimization.

Additional Potential Cubes

Special cubes that add additional potential lines to equipment that doesn't already have them.

Tier System

Rare Epic Unique Legendary

Equipment potential comes in four tiers, with Legendary being the highest. Higher tiers allow for better potential lines with higher stat percentages.

๐ŸŽฏ Usage Guide

How to Use This Calculator

  1. Select Your Equipment: Choose the item category and current tier of your equipment.
  2. Choose Cube Type: Select the type of cube you plan to use.

  5. Plan Your Cubing: Use the results to plan your cubing strategy and budget.

Understanding the Results

The calculator provides several key metrics:

  • Tier Up Probability: Chance of advancing to the next tier
  • Expected Cubes: Average number of cubes needed
  • Cost Estimate: Total expected cost in mesos or RP
  • Success Rate: Probability of getting desired stat lines

๐Ÿ’ก Advanced Tips & Strategies

Cubing Strategies

๐ŸŽฏ Early Game Strategy

Focus on getting Epic tier first, then work on getting 6% main stat lines. Don't chase perfect lines until you have Epic/Unique tier equipment.

๐Ÿ’ฐ Mid Game Strategy

Prioritize Unique tier on your main equipment pieces. Look for 9% main stat or 6% all stat lines. Boss damage and attack% become important.

๐Ÿ† End Game Strategy

Focus on Legendary tier with perfect lines: 12% main stat, 9% attack/magic attack, 35% boss damage, 8% critical damage.

Double Miracle Time (DMT)

During DMT events, tier-up rates are doubled, making it the best time to advance equipment tiers. Save your cubes for these events when possible.

Budget Management

Set a cubing budget and stick to it. It's easy to spend more than planned when chasing perfect lines. Consider the opportunity cost of cubing versus other upgrades.

Priority Order

  1. Weapon potential (highest damage increase)
  2. Emblem potential (second highest damage)
  3. Secondary weapon potential
  4. Armor pieces (hat, overall, shoes, gloves)
  5. Accessories (face, eye, ring, pendant, belt)
