The Ultimate Kingshot Gear Upgrade Guide

Resource management is the core of Kingshot. While Gold might seem abundant in the early stages (Levels 1-20), costs scale exponentially. A single upgrade at Level 55 can cost more than your entire Level 1-30 journey combined. This calculator is designed to help you plan these costs and avoid hitting a "resource wall."

1. The "Soft Cap" Strategy (Level 40)

Mathematical analysis of the game's upgrade curves reveals a distinct "Soft Cap" at Level 40. Up to this point, the stat-per-gold ratio is highly efficient. Beyond Level 40, the cost to gain a single stat point nearly triples.

Pro Tip: Do not rush your main carry hero to Level 60 while your support heroes are stuck at Level 20. It is statistically better to bring your entire team's gear to Level 40 first. This provides a higher Total Team Combat Power (CP) for a fraction of the cost.

2. Understanding Rarity Multipliers

Upgrading Common (Grey) or Rare (Blue) gear is generally considered a waste of resources in the mid-to-late game. Why? Because the "Stat Growth Multiplier" is tied to rarity:

  • Common: 1.0x Growth per Level
  • Rare: 1.5x Growth per Level
  • Epic: 2.2x Growth per Level
  • Legendary: 3.5x Growth per Level

This means a Level 20 Legendary Sword is often stronger than a Level 50 Common Sword, despite costing significantly less gold to reach that state.

3. Where to Farm Resources?

Gold Farming: The "Royal Treasury" daily dungeon is your primary source. Always use your daily multipliers here. Weekend events often provide 2x Gold drops on Campaign stages.

Kingstone Farming: Kingstones (Upgrade Materials) have the highest drop rates in Heroic Stages 8-5, 10-3, and 12-5. Avoid farming Normal stages for stones as the energy-to-drop ratio is poor (~12% vs 35% in Heroic).

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Should I upgrade Blue (Rare) gear? +
Only in the very early game (Chapters 1-5). Once you start obtaining Epic (Purple) gear, you should stop investing in Blue gear instantly. Save your Kingstones for Epic and Legendary items, as stones are finite.
What happens if I salvage upgraded gear? +
Kingshot has a generous refund system. If you salvage (dismantle) an upgraded item, you typically receive 80-100% of the Kingstones and Gold back. However, you lose the item itself, so be careful not to salvage gear you might need for a secondary team.
Is it worth buying Gold with Gems? +
Generally, no. Gems are the premium currency and are better spent on Hero Summons or Stamina refreshes. You can farm millions of Gold over time, but specific Heroes are much harder to obtain without Gems.
What is the max level for gear? +
Currently, the hard cap is Level 60. Developers have hinted at increasing this to Level 80 in future updates, so hoarding resources once you hit Level 60 is a valid strategy.
