Mastering the Scale in Inscryption
Winning battles in Leshy's cabin in Inscryption isn't about wiping out the opponent's entire board; it's about shifting the balance of the Scale. The combat system operates on a tug-of-war mechanic where dealing net damage tips the scale in your favor. You only need a differential of 5 Damage to secure a victory.
Optimizing Multi-Strike Sigils
Because the goal is simply to hit the scale 5 times, applying Sigils that allow a single card to strike multiple times is the most efficient way to break the game. The Trifurcated Strike (native to the Mantis God) is the holy grail. A single Mantis God with 2 Power, buffed at a Campfire, deals 6 total damage across three lanes. If those lanes are empty, it is an instant turn-one win.
If an enemy places a massive Grizzly (4/6) in front of your wolf, your wolf's damage is absorbed by the Grizzly. However, if your wolf has the Airborne (Flying) sigil, it ignores the Grizzly entirely and strikes the Scale directly. The only counter to this is the Mighty Leap sigil (found on Bullfrogs), which explicitly blocks flying creatures.
Overkill and Golden Teeth
If you need 5 damage to win, but your Ouroboros deals 100 damage directly to the scale, the excess 95 damage is not wasted. "Overkill" damage is converted into Golden Teeth, which drop into the bowl beside the scale. These teeth act as currency to purchase pelts from the Trapper and Trader. Using the calculator above, you can plan massive multi-strike combos specifically to farm Golden Teeth for the late game.
