About the Oath of the Unseen
The Hades 2 Fear system is managed through the Oath of the Unseen. Activating specific Vows (Testaments of Night) increases the "Fear" level of your run. Fear is required to complete Nightmare Bounties, which drop materials to upgrade Weapon Aspects.

Complete "Testament of Night" bounties. Check the Oath stone before a run for required Weapon and Fear level (e.g., Sister Blades at Fear 8).
Max rank for Vow of Desperation?
Rank 1: 9 min/region (1 Fear). Rank 2: 7 min (3 Fear). Rank 3: 5 min (6 Fear).
Easiest Vows to take?
Vow of Commotion and Vow of Wandering are often manageable for high damage builds. Vow of Panic is free if you don't use Magick.
