The Science of Season 2 Reloaded: Beyond the Stats
Welcome to the Dolphin Warzone Loadouts Optimizer. While generic wikis provide raw data, this tool simulates the "hidden" mechanics that define high-skill gameplay. In Season 2 Reloaded, victory isn't just about damage—it's about the synergy between mobility, recoil stabilization, and effective range.
1. Understanding Damage Shelves
A weapon's Time-To-Kill (TTK) isn't static; it changes based on distance. This concept is known as "Damage Shelves."
- First Damage Range (Close TTK): This is the weapon's maximum potential. Within this range (usually 0-25 meters for SMGs), you are dealing peak damage per bullet. Our "Close Range" calculator assumes you are hitting chest shots within this optimal zone.
- Second Damage Range (Long TTK): Once your bullets travel past the first shelf, damage drops significantly. A gun that feels like a laser beam up close might shoot marshmallows at 40 meters. Use the "Long Range" stat to identify which ARs maintain their lethality across the map.
2. The Art of Attachment Tuning
The Gunsmith system in Warzone is a game of trade-offs. You cannot max out every stat. The Dolphin Engine helps you visualize these trade-offs instantly:
The Recoil vs. ADS Dilemma: Adding a heavy barrel and a large suppressor will drastically improve range and recoil control, but it destroys your Handling (ADS Speed). If your Handling bar drops below 40%, you will lose gunfights simply because you couldn't aim down sights fast enough. Our algorithm flags this by lowering your overall Dolphin Score.
Movement Kings: Attachments like the "No Stock" or "Collapsed Stock" provide massive boosts to Mobility but ruin Recoil Control. These are high-risk, high-reward options best suited for aggressive players who can manually control recoil patterns.
3. What is the Dolphin Agility Score?
Most players over-index on Damage Range. The Dolphin Agility Score is a proprietary metric designed to highlight weapons that feel "snappy." It is a weighted average of:
- Sprint-to-Fire Speed (40%): How fast you can shoot after sprinting. This is the #1 cause of death in close-range 50/50 gunfights.
- ADS Movement Speed (30%): How fast you can strafe while aiming. High strafe speed breaks the enemy's aim assist.
- Tactical Sprint Refresh (30%): The hidden movement penalty based on weapon weight.
Use this score to determine if a build is viable for Resurgence modes versus Al Mazrah long-range engagements.
