About This Dolphin ROM Compatibility Tool

This free Dolphin ROM Compatibility Checker helps you quickly verify whether a GameCube or Wii game is expected to run well in the Dolphin Emulator. Unlike basic lists or forum posts, it performs local header scanning to extract the official Game ID, computes secure hashes, and then tries to fetch a live summary from the community wiki. Your ROM file never leaves your device.

We looked at other tools online. Many were slow or forced you to search the wiki yourself. Here you get fast ID, hashes, sample offline info, and a clean layout in one place.

How to Use

  1. Select a ROM file (ISO / WBFS / GCM). Only the first part is read.
  2. Click Analyze to read the header and create hashes.
  3. Click Fetch Wiki Data to try to grab a short summary.
  4. Copy hashes if you want to compare or share.
  5. Type a Game ID manually if the file header is missing or compressed.

All steps are quick and happen in your browser.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Match SHA‑1 with trusted sources to be sure your dump is clean.
  • The 5th character of the ID shows region (E = USA, P = Europe, J = Japan).
  • Different revisions can share an ID but not hashes; store both.
  • Playable does not always mean perfect. Read notes for tweaks.
  • You can batch check several files; only tiny slices are read.
  • Manual ID entry helps when files are still zipped.

Simple note: This tool is meant to be friendly. If a game fails to fetch data, you can still use the ID and hashes to search the official wiki yourself. We want it fast, clear, and stress‑free for everyone, even if you are new to emulation.
