About McAddon to McPack Converter

Minecraft Bedrock Edition uses various file formats for its add-ons. While .mcaddon files are convenient for distributing complete mods (containing both behavior and resource packs), sometimes you need the individual components. This is where our Convert McAddon to McPack tool shines.

Whether you are a developer debugging a specific pack, or a player trying to mix and match different textures and behaviors, this tool allows you to "unzip" the contents of an addon and download them as standalone .mcpack files.

How to Use

  1. Upload: Click the upload box or drag and drop your .mcaddon file.
  2. Analyze: Our tool instantly scans the file structure to find valid Minecraft packs inside.
  3. Download: You will see a list of detected packs (Resource or Behavior). Click "Download .mcpack" for the ones you need.

Tip: This tool also works if you have a standard .zip file that contains Minecraft packs!

Why Use This Tool?

  • Smart Detection: Unlike basic unzippers, we look for manifest.json files to correctly identify and name your packs.
  • Privacy First: All processing happens in your browser. No files are sent to our servers.
  • No Installation: Works on Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS directly from your web browser.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between .mcaddon and .mcpack?
An .mcpack is a single module (either textures or behaviors). An .mcaddon is a collection of these modules bundled together. Think of .mcaddon as a container for multiple .mcpacks.
Can I convert .mcpack back to .mcaddon?
Technically, yes. You can zip multiple .mcpack files together and change the extension to .mcaddon. However, this tool currently focuses on splitting them apart.
Why did my conversion fail?
Ensure your file is a valid zip-based archive. Some files might be corrupted or encrypted. If the tool cannot find a manifest.json inside, it won't recognize it as a valid pack.
